Wonderful tour . The guide Quinlan was the best guide I’ve had of all of my 6 Life's An Adventure tours .

We really enjoyed this tour Basho Tohuko, the first in the North of Japan. The scenery was stunning and despite a few changes and weather impact (rain) it was all accommodated for. Our guide Quinlan was truly exceptional.. his knowledge, passion articulate delivery, enthusiasm and fluent Japanese was brilliant and what made this tour. It would not have been the same without him. We felt very fortunate to have had him on the trip. The driver and local guides also very good.. friendly and helpful. The monastery was great.. very fortunate to have experienced this .. and the walk with head Monk up to the shrine in a silent walk. I LOVED this part. Again thanks to Quinlan.

Thanks for organizing such an exceptional experience. The guides, both Quinlan and Osuma were excellent. Quinlan is really good at interpreting. Both had excellent knowledge of the places that we visited. The Yamabushi walk was a peaceful and to the trip.

A guide can make or break a tour, for me they are critical to the overall experience. We were blessed to have quite possibly the most all round competent guide I have ever come and I’ve done lots of guided walks - and been a guide myself. Quinlan was exceptional. Excellent Japanese language skills meant he could translate with ease, his attention to detail was out of this world and his focus on the client was exceptional.
