We allow plenty of time to pause at Stacky’s Bight, a beautiful hidden cove and an ideal swimming spot for those who would like a refreshing dip.\n\nAfter completing the walk, we return to Whitemark to relax before enjoying a celebratory final-night dinner at the renowned Flinders Island Wharf Restaurant on the Whitemark Jetty. Rising sharply from the coastline, this granite peak is the highest point in the Furneaux Group. The ascent is challenging but incredibly scenic, with several natural lookouts offering sweeping views across the island and the surrounding sea. At the summit, you’ll be treated to an unforgettable panorama stretching over deep-blue bays, distant islands, and rugged ridgelines. Although small in area, Strzelecki National Park features striking rock formations, dramatic ridges, and rich biodiversity, making today’s walk a true highlight.\n\n**Flexible walking option**: For guests not wanting to take on the Mount Strzelecki climb, we offer a beautiful alternative walk from Palana to Holloway Point on the island’s northern shores. We begin at the serene curve of Palana Beach, a favourite meeting place for locals. This coastal route does not follow a formal track, allowing us to wander across orange-lichen-covered headlands, small inlets, rocky outcrops, and untouched sandy coves. Keep an eye out for “Chinese fingernails”—the colourful shells scattered along parts of the beach. Views across to the Sister Islands enhance the experience, and a highlight is watching the powerful flow of water rushing through the North East River mouth.\n\nAfter completing the day’s adventure, we return to our accommodation to relax before enjoying a superb dinner at the Furneaux Tavern, paired with Tasmanian wine.\n\n**Accommodation**: Whitemark Apartments"
