Why Choose Life’s an Adventure's Three Capes Walk Over Other Walk Providers?

At Life’s an Adventure, we believe a walking holiday should be inspiring, not exhausting. Unlike other operators who require guests to carry their own clothing, water, and food, our signature Pack-Free walking experience means we carry your overnight bags for you, so you can simply relax, walk, and savour every moment. Our walks are 100% Pack-Free. There are no heavy packs and no aching shoulders. While other providers may advertise “light packs” of up to 7 kilograms, once you add lunch, snacks, and up to three litres of water, you could be carrying well over 10 kilograms. With Life’s an Adventure, we take care of all luggage transfers, so you carry only a light day pack with your lunch and water. It’s walking made easy, the way nature intended.

All meals and daily essentials are included. We’re proud to feature qualified chefs and showcase locally sourced produce, wines, and fresh Tasmanian ingredients supporting local restaurants in the area. For example, guests dine at local favourites such as 1830 Restaurant at Port Arthur, enjoying world-class meals paired with regional wines. Every meal, snack, and drink is included and thoughtfully prepared, so there’s no need for rationing or carrying food.

We also handpick the beautiful Stewart Bay Lodge, where guests stay in spacious deluxe chalets surrounded by native bushland and sweeping ocean views. It’s the perfect place to unwind after each day’s walk, combining comfort, a peaceful night’s sleep in comfy beds, privacy, and a true sense of place. You won’t find crowded huts or commercial lodges in the middle of national parks with us, just genuine comfort, charm, and local hospitality, supporting local businesses.

Sustainability is a core value of Life’s an Adventure. We are deeply committed to environmental responsibility, and our walks use existing infrastructure and eco-transfers rather than building new lodges inside fragile national parks. Travelling with Life’s an Adventure means walking softly and supporting local communities, not contributing to overdevelopment. Unfortunately, some Tasmanian walking tour operators have been criticised by the environmental community for large-scale commercial developments inside Tasmania’s protected areas.

If you’d like to understand more about the public discussion surrounding the issue, we encourage you to read more.

We also offer flexible walking options because we understand that every traveller is different. Our walks include flexible distances, private transfers, and rest options, allowing you to go at your own pace and enjoy the experience your way. Our small groups are led by award-winning guides who are among the highest-trained professionals in the industry. Passionate, knowledgeable, and caring, they bring each landscape to life and ensure you feel supported and inspired throughout your journey. Life’s an Adventure is a multi-award-winning operator, proud recipient of 21 Tourism Awards of Excellence.

We are recognised across Australia for innovation, sustainability, and outstanding guest experiences. In short, when you travel with Life’s an Adventure, you’re choosing comfort, care, and authenticity, not compromise. Walk lighter, eat better, rest deeper, and experience Tasmania and beyond the Pack-Free way.
