Abbey and Micol were the two most amazing guides; their knowledge and good cheer made this a terrific experience. Their job is demanding, with huge hikes and very challenging drives on most days and yet they came to dinner and continued to provide assistance and cheerfulness. The walks were fantastic, and the Dolomites are an extraordinary place to hike. The shorter walks were fantastic and really created a lasting impression. The combination of picnic and Refugio lunches was fantastic and the effort to provide and arrange gluten free and lactose intolerant options was outstanding.
Abby and Micol are exceptional guides. Professional, reliable, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and always good-humoured. The enjoyment and welfare of the group were always their main priority.
From the organisation of each day to the wonderful walks and incredible locations - Abbey and Micol were the best, well-matched guides we could have asked for. While we can’t control the attitudes of some of the people on our tour, we were able to still enjoy it because of the options to do more challenging hikes. Ortisei accommodation and location was the absolute best. Food was amazing - a little too fine dining sometimes - the salad bar was superb though. Such luxury. Cortina was an older and vibrant town and we got the best of the Italian Alps. We can’t cheer enough for the way our guides informed us of the history and flora and fauna, while negotiating such a range of abilities of the group. It can not have been easy for them - but they made it seem seamless. I want to go back.. It was incredible.
